Yes, your system also generates electricity in winter. The yield during this time of year is of course lower than in the sunnier months of the year.

To use our solar modules, your balcony only needs to meet two requirements: a suitable balcony railing and a power socket - that's all you need.

Unfortunately, there is no general answer to this question, as every household has a different electricity consumption. Nevertheless, it is possible to cover up to 40% of the electricity requirement. For example, a balcony power plant with 760+ watt peak can generate up to 700 kWh (kilowatt hours) of green electricity per year if it faces south. This corresponds to the annual consumption of a refrigerator, dishwasher, washing machine and television.

The higher the power of the PV module originally installed, the higher the electricity generation. With a tilted installation, the electricity generation is about 30% higher than without. In a home office, the family can use more than 70% of the electricity generated; when away, the proportion is usually less than 50%.

An 850 Wp system with tilt angle installation in Berlin, without shading, generates around 800 kWh per year and thus saves around 560 kWh per year in the home sector, which corresponds to around 230 euros. In the non-home sector, the savings are less than 400 kWh, which corresponds to a total of less than 150 euros.

Sunshare products are largely pre-assembled and therefore easy to install. If customers encounter any problems during installation, they can refer to the enclosed installation and user manual. In addition, online installation videos are available to help with installation.

In mid-summer, the sun is very high, creating a sharp angle of incidence that leads to power losses. These can reduce output by 30-40% depending on the situation. At the same time, spring and autumn are more powerful seasons due to the lower sun position. Since the angle of the sun's rays is essentially perpendicular to the ground in summer, installing without a tilt angle will result in significant power losses (30-40%). This loss is reduced in winter, early spring and late autumn when the angle of the sun's rays changes. However, since the main power generation season is concentrated in summer, it is recommended to install the modules with a tilt angle if possible.

Sunshare modules are custom-made and have a single module size of only 766mm, so they can be adapted to the requirements of balconies of different sizes for solar power systems. On smaller balconies, four 200W modules can be installed on a balcony length of 3.2m to achieve 800W of power generation. In addition, the optimized design of the system connection allows for individual wiring, so users can freely combine 1-6 modules as needed to optimally meet their power consumption.

Sunshare modules are made from environmentally friendly, lightweight materials, which ensures controlled quality of each module. Mounted with brackets, they can be installed independently by an adult. However, we recommend that users of all ages, depending on their physical condition, ask a family member or friend to help with the installation.

The SUNSHARE balcony power station is designed to be completely drill-free and the bracket is pre-assembled, so that installation by the average user without the need for specialist personnel is possible. The DIN VDE 0100-551-1:2016-09 standard also stipulates that non-certified end users can also connect the system to the power grid. However, if a Wieland plug is required, the installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
